Bayern Munich are closing in on the Bundesliga title after their 3-2 win over St Pauli, inspired by their star striker Harry Kane – who scored and assisted during the game
Harry Kane reached two more milestones in his incredible Bayern Munich career after scoring and assisting in the team’s 3-2 win over St Pauli. The former Tottenham striker has been sensational in front of goal since his £100million move to the German giants last season and his goalscoring numbers have continued this season.
Kane has 33 goals from 38 appearances in the 2024-25 campaign, helping Vincent Kompany’s men go six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga with seven games to go, as the England captain bids for the first trophy of his career.
And after his superb display against St Pauli on Sunday, Kane has now managed to score against all 19 Bundesliga opponents he’s played against. Kane has also registered 100 goals and assists combined during his spell – showing how vital he has been to the Bavarian side.
The 31-year-old has never won a trophy in his career, in what some have called a curse, and that continued last season when Bayern suffered their first campaign without silverware since 2011-12.

That coincided with Bayer Leverkusen’s incredible form as they romped to their first ever title without losing a game – but this season Bayern are on top and have already played Xabi Alonso’s men twice.
Kane has been leading the way for Bayern and he has six goals in March alone – including a goal in each of England’s games against Albania and Latvia during the international break.
Interestingly enough, however, Kane had been on something of a ‘goal drought’ for his stands, going five games without a goal in the top flight before Saturday’s game.
Kane has a total of 77 goals in 83 games for Bayern since joining last year, making him one of the most prolific forwards to have ever played for the club. Former Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski only managed 67 goals in his first two seasons.
The Bundesliga is not the only trophy Kane could finish the season with. His side are still in the Champions League and face a two-legged quarter-final tie against Inter Milan on April 8 and April 16.
Bayern have won 20 of their 27 league games, with five draws and just two defeats after an impressive first season under former Burnley boss Kompany.
