
Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka has suffered a fresh knee injury during the Champions League group stage clash against Lens on the road.
The England international picked up a knee concern in the recent 4-0 Premier League win at Bournemouth and he was substituted before full-time.
The club graduate was able to recover in time for the midweek European clash at Lens, but he was taken off midway in the opening half.
Saka had a good start against Lens with an assist for Gabriel Jesus‘ goal, but could not carry on for much long before being replaced by Fabio Vieira.
The news is a huge blow for the Gunners ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Manchester City at the Emirates on Sunday.
Saka has a tremendous league record, having played in 87 consecutive games for the Gunners and he will be hoping to preserve his feat.
The 22-year-old has had the ability to make quick recoveries throughout his career and we won’t be surprised if he is deemed fit for Sunday’s game.
