French elections: Far right's rise blocked by 'republican front'

The left is projected to win 172 to 192 seats, ahead of President Emmanuel Macron’s coalition (150 to 170 seats) and the far-right Rassemblement National and its allies (132 to 152 seats), according to initial estimates.
